Cindy Kimberly to walk at Madrid Fashion Week

Just over a month and a half ago, she combined her studies at college with working as a babysitter earning around 5 € an hour. But now, this 17-year-old Spanish girl from Denia in Alicante is about to debut at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Madrid next month.

And it’s all thanks to Canadian pop star Justin Bieber.

When the global superstar spotted Cindy Kimberly’s picture on Instagram, he shared her photo with the caption: “Omg, who is this?”, causing his 47 million followers to track down the mysterious girl to Denia within just a few hours.

Since then, the stunning youngster, who has a resemblance to Angelina Jolie and Irina Shayk, has seen her life transformed almost immediately.

Cindy has been inundated with modelling offers, but says that she has had to turn most of them down as she wants to concentrate on projects that she was already committed to before becoming instantly famous.

She will, however, walk in Madrid’s Fashion Week in Cibeles, which is set to take place between 19 and 23 February, although it is unknown as yet which fashion designer she will represent.

The Madrid Fashion Week is Spain’s largest platform to promote national designers on an international scale, and it is celebrated twice a year. The city’s most promising talents will present their latest designs next month at the IFEMA trade fair centre in the hope that they will be spotted and their trends catapulted into the global spotlight.

In the audience, expect to see the likes of many Spanish celebrities including footballers, actresses and singers, as well as numerous international faces too.
