Guetta performs in Benidorm this summer

Touted as one of the best DJs in the world, if not the best, David Guetta will be offering his one and only solo performance in Spain this year in the tourist holiday destination of Benidorm.

At the beginning of this week, the mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, and Guetta’s promotor in Spain, Benidorm Sound, confirmed that the French DJ and producer will perform at the Guillermo Amor stadium on 6 August.

The Big Show, which of course won’t be complete without a stunning sound and visual backdrop, is set to start at around 8pm and finish at approximately 3.30am the following morning.

Three other top class DJs that Guetta has already worked with will carry out their own sets after the French star, and it has been reported that they will be chosen by Guetta himself.

This is a very important event for Benidorm and the Alicante province, as Guetta’s presence will make international headlines and Benidorm will be under the spotlight, this time for some positive news. The DJ also has 55 million followers on Facebook and 19.4 million on Twitter.

The concert is being held just one month after the final of the UEFA Euro 2016 for which Guetta has been asked to compose the official song.

The Guillermo Amor stadium has a capacity of 16,000 and it is expected that music lovers from across Europe will buy tickets for this event.

The first 1,000 tickets will go on sale tomorrow at 12pm at the promotional price of 29 euro. They will be available from the David Guetta Benidorm official Facebook page and on the benidormsound.com webpage.

Once the first 1,000 tickets have sold out, a new batch will go on sale at a higher price (up to 55 euro) and they will be available from more outlets.

Benidorm, and the Guillermo Amor stadium, will also be the location of the Low Cost Festival, which is set take place a few days before, from 29-31 July.
